Nicole has always been a planner. From planning detailed itineraries anytime she travelled, to special occasions for family and friends, she’s loved all aspects of event planning from beginning to end. She was hired for her first real event and party planning position in 2012 as the Event Coordinator for a busy travellers inn in downtown Toronto. During this time, she was the event planner for numerous social events. It was with this position that her passion for event planning flourished. Throughout her career, Nicole has worked in numerous industries including Hospitality, Travel, and Project Management.
A few years later, Nicole embarked on the biggest event planning job of her life; planning her own wedding. What normal people would find extremely challenging and stressful, Nicole enjoyed. The planning process is where she excelled, and she executed a flawless wedding day with very little stress. She then decided it was time to turn her passion for event planning into a business. She hit the books and become a certified International Event & Wedding Planning Professional and Destination Wedding Planner through QC Event School and Event and Wedding Designer through WPIC. Feeling prepared to take on the world with her skills she founded Willow North Events in 2019 and never looked back.
Nicole is also the creator of Willow North Shop! She handcrafts beautiful macrame pieces that can be purchased or rented.
